Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Toolpusher (Night) to supervise drilling operations on board the Paul B Loyd Junior. Reporting to the Senior Toolpusher, this permanent role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant drilling activities in line with the well program and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate drilling operations, ensuring compliance with HSEEQ and company procedures.
- Provide leadership, training, and motivation to drilling crews; ensure competence and adherence to safety systems.
- Maintain well control readiness, perform calculations, and oversee well-killing operations when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance and certification of drilling equipment, tools, and mud systems.
- Liaise with Client, OIM, Senior Toolpusher, and third-party contractors to deliver operational objectives.
- Approve work permits, monitor CMMS, and manage stock/requisitions to minimize downtime.
- Lead safety meetings, risk assessments, and emergency drills; enforce “Time Out for Safety” practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Offshore Survival (HUET, EBS, CA-EBS) & OEUK Medical
- MIST & OPEP Level 1 (Offshore On Scene Commander)
- STCW Proficiency in Security Awareness
- Well Control – Surface & Subsea (Level 4 Supervisor)
- Strong track record as Toolpusher/Drilling Supervisor in offshore semi-submersible operations
